Governor OFSTED TRAINING
ACADEMY AND SCHOOL GOVERNOR TRAINING SESSION IN PREPARATION FOR AN OFSTED INSPECTION OF A MAINSTREAM ACADEMY/SCHOOL
This 2 hour information and training session is designed to help ensure your governing body is fully prepared for an Ofsted Inspection and has been recently updated to include the inspection handbook changes from the 22nd January 2024. This comprehensive training and information session covers:

Overview of the different types of Ofsted inspections and their timeframes

Overview and insight into the inspection process (what actually happens) from initial phone call to the report being published

The role of Governors during an inspection and how to evidence effective governance, this includes rehearsal of responding to questions Ofsted ask governors

How governors can support senior leaders

Introduction to Multi-Academy Trust Summary Evaluations (MATSE) if relevant.
Duration: 2 hrs
Outcomes: The training is comprehensive and interactive and by the end we expect Governors to fully understand the inspection process and how they can ensure they are fully prepared and can support senior leaders. Governors will also feel confident in their ability to articulate their academy/school in its best and true light.
Facilitation: This training course can be delivered in person or remotely, distances of over 30miles for in person delivery incur an additional travel allowance
Cost: £200 plus VAT
