Designated Safeguarding Lead Refresher

Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs) are required to regualrly maintain their knowledge through refresher training every two years. This one-day training course will build on the knowldge and skills you already have, give you the opportunity to discuss best practices in safeguarding with other DSLs and learn about emerging issues.

• Brief overview of any recent changes in guidance
• What makes a secure safeguarding culture
• Reflecting on the safeguarding culture in your setting
• Safeguarding in the modern world- AI and online sexual exploitation
• Identifying Neglect and Affluent Neglect
• Learning from recent Child Practice Reviews
